In the Claudio Albieri brand, we have the fruits of both dedication and happy coincidence. Claudio was born into a family-owned tobacconist business, where his natural inclination to the refinement of life’s little luxuries - a good smoke, a good wine, good food, the work of skilled artisans, and a keen sense for the value of providing such simple pleasures in the finest manner possible - found fertile ground. As it just so happened, he also was fortunate enough to have on hand a cousin experienced in the fine Italian leather goods industry and a mother and sister who made up the artists of the family. Enjoying such close relationships with such fitting consultants, it should be little surprise that though the leather goods, which bear his name have just recently seen their premier, their quality, from materials to craftsmanship and design to functionality, is second to none.
This double-strap number shares the same fine and thoughtful attention to design, materials, and construction as the first pipe briefcases we received from Albieri, but offers it all in a more compact package, shaving an inch off both the height and depth, and three off the breadth. And it holds even more pipes, eight in all to be precise, each once again stowed in their own button-secured, soft leather pipe bags. This is achieved pretty simply; while it's predecessor was designed to double as a means of transporting your laptop as well, this one's all about pipes, tobacco, and pipe accessories... though Ted has noted that there is still enough room for a tablet nonetheless. Along with all the internal stowage, this briefcase also features a removable (but very well-secured) external pipe and tobacco pouch of matching quality and design, which will accommodate a good-sized briar, some accessories, and plenty of your chosen blend.
