Usually I encounter Freehand pipes when the name Ben Wade is stamped on the shank, but this reserved classic is just what it sounds like. There were a number of different makers that produced pipes for Ben Wade and this piece suggests it could have been made by Mogens Johanssen or someone of similar capability.
