The texture on this bowl is one we often see from Winslow pieces, and a few other companies, too. It's made by holding the pipe against a spinning wire wheel (the same wheel used on a bench grinder to remove rust). It chews away at the briar like nobody's business, leaving relatively deep grooves in its path. Save for a smooth rim, the entire body is rusticated and paired up with an elegant silver band.
