About This Pipe
The most lovely side of this pipe is the panel of dense birdseye on the right side. Due to the way the briar grew, the bottom area, left-bottom, and left-shank is somewhat devoid of grain, but carving this pipe with a paneled bowl and paneled shank was the way to go. The lines add interest where the grain trades off, and the razor edges all around the bowl show utmost skill.
