We've never had a pipe from Ingo Garbe that wasn't smooth. Odd? Well, considering that (from what I understand) he only makes smooth pipes, this isn't so far fetched a claim. When some pipe makers encounter a small flaw (or simply don't like the grain enough), they sandblast it. Ingo Garbe either changes the shape or puts the piece with the others that he'll never finish. Highly-collectible, especially in Europe, his pipe are a rare find.
