Soborg Partially Sandblasted Freehand Sitter with Plateau

Product Number: 004-001-5998

The origins of Soborg are unknown, but some consider it to come from retired Danish pipe maker Søren Refbjerg Rasmussen. That would be my guess too, considering this pipe does bear a strong family resemblance to the rest of his portfolio (that includes the recurring use of the tapered, turn-based stem). Well, despite its secretive nature, you can't deny its strong presence; a healthy length of briar, this Freehand sitter rest comfortably in "check" posturing, sitting quite attentively and sturdily. The bowl sports a nice, two-textured finish, the upper part of the bowl smooth and in a fading gradient stain, with a soft sandblast running down the base and up the shank.
