The "P" shape is a signature Heeschen, probably the most recognizable shape he makes, actually modeled after the "P" in his logo. It's defined by its curving, lenticular-sectioned rim. Peter first made this shape by cutting out the profile on a block of briar and leaving the rim a curved plane, while compressing the sides of the bowl. In the course of that creation, however, he kept it purely Danish in nature. The result: smooth, clean, and elegantly minimalist. You will probably never see a similar shape by anyone else, partially out of respect for Peter, but I can see other pipe makers churning one out of their own personal use.
