By Brunhilde’s Brass Brassiere! While my favorite Tonni shapes tend to be his more conservative interpretations of the neoclassics, every time I encounter one of his daring explorations, such as the one presently in front of you and me, I wind up reconsidering my preferences. This is a very playful interpretation of the Shield shape, replete with flowing lines, cresting swells and a very cool use of plateau on the front of the bowl. Unsmoked!
