Danish Estates: Preben Holm Traditional Private Collection Bent Dublin (A) (101) (Replacement Tenon)
Product Number: 004-001-6349
While the majority of the pipes produced at the Preben Holm factory were Danish "fancy" Freehands, Preben Holm did offer a line of traditional shapes called, you guessed it, Traditional. Here we have a very nicely executed Dublin from the Traditional series. If viewed from the English shaping perspective, the shape could hardly be considered traditional, however, this version of the Dublin has become a staple of the Danish masters. The grain displayed on the surfaces of the bowl is very good, and the engineering is everything you should expect from Preben Holm.
