This Stokkebye was produced by Jorgen Larsen, one of the finest pipe carvers of all time. His production was always limited, but became even more so when he developed a condition due to inhalation of briar dust. Peter Stokkebye set him up in what amounted to be a clean room, and had Jorgen limit his pipes to one-two per week. Toss in a two week vacation, and that isn't a lot of pipes. While this intriguing Dublin variation is only rated an "L", about entry level, the crosscut could blow away about 85% of the pipes that pass my desk.
