Danish Estates: Ben Wade Golden Matt Bent Dublin
Product Number: 004-001-6541
Yes, indeed! This was the pipe that I fell in love with as a young pipe smoker at Ft. Bragg. Well, not this exact pipe, but you get the idea. This pipe embodies the 70's "cool" that was the Danish freehand pipe. The Ben Wades and Prebens showed us that a pipe could look wilder, fall outside of the shaping boxes we had become comfortable with, and still be great smokers. Grain could be straighter and bolder, without requiring a second mortgage on the house. If you get the same "warm and fuzzies" that I do, looking at older Danish Freehands, you may want to consider this pipe. Splendid example of the genre.
