A student of the legendary Poul Rasmussen, Svend Axel Celius was one of the first carvers to fully grasp the US thirst for the (then) up-and-coming Danish freehand pipe. At the zenith of his production, Celius employed twenty workers, but his untimely passing stripped him of the critical acclaim his pipes where deserving of. His legacy now lies in the collections of a small group of loyal followers. The Celius pipe has three distinct groupings: Chess, Zenia and the Fantasy, and this is a #7 grade from the latter.
