I may not be Marlene Dietrich (shut up, Andrew!), but I know what I love, and I love the work of Kurt Balleby. Even without the ability to see the "0" on the stamping panel, any Balleby fan will immediately recognize this stunner as some of Kurt's top echelon work. The impeccable arc of the shank travels to an unexpected interface with the bowl: a subtle expansion in the former, followed immediately by bevel which appears to be cradling the latter, and, within that implied hand, what beauty lies. The flame on the bowl almost mimics the undulation found within the arc of the shank and the birdseye on the rim is as dense as it is desirable.
