About This Pipe
This is only the second "Popeye" to grace my desk. OK, the first wasn't on my desk, but this one is! We all know where Teddy got the idea for this shape, and an all briar version far exceeds an ear of corn. The bowl shows nice grain on almost the entire surface, and the shank's left side is by far the best. This pipe is actually made of two pieces of briar turned and mated with grain that looks like it's from one piece (it would really bug me if the grain didn't match so well). As you can guess, this sits very well and will, no doubt, be a treasure in your collection.
