Dunhill is one of the best pipe companies for marketing, and this black Dress is an example of such an idea. I don't believe they would stain a pipe with excellent grain solid black, but this is all about shape, not grain. If I had to guess, it probably has grain similar to any other Bruyere - which is usually mixed at best. Some people often ask if the most important part of the pipe would be shape or grain. While grain has an added advantage of beauty, shape nearly always wins.
