Dunhill's red-finished sandblasts have seem several incarnations as either the Red Bark or Ruby Bark, and along with that the particular shade and hue of red has varied quite a bit as well. In this 1970s Red Bark, it's an earthier red, something which works well with both the birdseye-flanked graining of the briar, as well as the muscular, broad-bowled shape.
