About This Pipe
HT pipes are hand-turned and have a slightly different look than the machine-turned pipes also made by Dunhill. These pieces are sculpted from choice briar, and this one sports some awesome blasted grain, which has me scratching my head, wondering why 'ring grain' wasn't stamped on the shank. An interesting note with this pipe, which is rather difficult to see (but you can with a magnifying glass) is that it was originally stamped CUMBERLAND, plus all of the other MADE IN ENGLAND 05 stamps, but was partially sanded down and stamped over the top as it is now. All done in the factory.
