Aside from having been brought into the world during a particularly signifigant year, historically speaking, this vintage Dunhill also happens to sport one of those extra-deep sandblasts of old which many Dunhill collectors favor. Then, of course, there's the rarity of a "double patent", i.e. a briar stamped with not one but two patent numbers. While overall in good condition, suggesting it was cared for, this Dunhill was obviously also enjoyed quite a bit as well, as the ivory dot set into the stem has thoroughly darkened from absorbing smoke.
