English Estates: Comoy's Golden Grain (42) (1950s-1970s)

Product Number: 004-002-7348

Though not mentioned in any reference I can turn up, I get the general impression that the Golden Grain line was directed towards cross-grain briars. Not every one I can find images of is ideal in this respect, but do present at least one flank with significant birdseye. And, despite a single, small fill cropping up on the left side here, this is a fine example of a cross-grained classic; plenty of birdseye is found on the left, and the right side (along with most of the forward face) is completely covered in the stuff.
