1982 was quite a remarkable year for Britain, according to Wikipedia, most notably (in my opinion at least), as they record Mark Thatcher, the son of then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, going missing in the Sahara Desert on the 11th of January during the Dakar Rally, and eventually turning up safe and sound "six days after going missing", on the 14th of January. It only goes to prove that there's nothing a determined Brit can't do - including invent time travel when he's got nothing to work with but sand and utterly parched air, and perhaps a bit of scrabbly local plant-life.
Fittingly enough, this 1982 Dunhill comes before us in the Tanshell finish, a sandstone-colored sandblast. And it is, of course, a straightforward, iconic British number - much like Mark's own mother was.
