The Dunhill Shilling received its name from a customer remark that a particular pipe had grain that was so tight and concentric, that it appeared as though the pipe were made from a stack of shillings.
While not quite as large as some of its brethren which I have encountered, this Shilling is big; every bit of the ODAs of yore, and then some. The grain is astounding (duh), and if it weren't for the faintest whiff of fine latakia emanating from the bowl, I would swear that it was new.--R. 'Bear' Graves
