Dunhill Root Briars were highly prized back in the day (hell, they're still highly prized) as they required a clean block of excellent briar for the grain-pronouncing finish. While this particular number didn't earn any stars, it still sports a lot worth mentioning. From the patch of birdseye covering the entirety of the bowl's left flank to the cross grain running across the rim, it lives up to the Root Briar line. Released in 1966, this group 2 has weathered the years well - earning a 4.7/5 score from our estates department. It's a rare chance at a vintage quality briar from a timeless marque.
