Sandblasted, then lightly sanded, this Ben Wade Brogue sports a style of finish that doesn't seem to have ever really taken off. Rarely do you come across a series from the larger marques that bears this treatment. Why? My guess would be that it's likely not very labor-efficient, the briar having go back and forth along the line between initial shaping and rough-sanding, to sandblasting, then back to a final sanding, polishing, and finishing. Bit of a shame really, as it does produce a pleasing texture.
