Tanshell pipes are certainly more rare that their darker-stained counterparts, the Cumberland and Shellbriar. Scouring our records, I was able to determine that this is the first "4109" Tanshell that we have seen as an estate. In fact, Tanshell Canadians in any group size are hard to come by. The "109" is easily my favorite Dunhill shape. It is a manly shape and I can tell you from first hand experience, that the smoking qualities are remarkable. The icing on the cake? This beauty is the perfect size for many smokers and it remains unsmoked. The new owner will be the first to contribute to the gorgeous and inevitable patina that so many fans of the finish have come to admire.
