English Estates: Dunhill Shell Briar (142) (U.S. Pat) (1933)
Product Number: 004-002-8423
1933, the bad: Adolf Hitler, leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party, is appointed as Chancellor of Germany, the Holodomor continues in Ukraine, and the Simele massacre is carried out in the Kingdom of Iraq. 1933, the good: Construction begins on the Golden Gate bridge, Prohibition is repealed, and Vera Jayne Palmer, a.k.a. Jayne Mansfield is born. You take what you can get.
This Dunhill briar was, suffice to say, a child of interesting times. Certainly it's seen a lot since then, and it is showing wear and tear: but pieces of history usually do.
