Though sporting a replacement stem (and quite a nice one, either way), this is a fine Charatan straight Dublin; big, classic, capacious, and beautifully flame-grained. There's an Italian saying along the lines that a beautiful woman is beautiful, flaws and all, and despite a few dings and "beauty marks" here and there, and a natural flaw in the rim, this is a solidly-built, traditional briar that should provide many years of enjoyment to whoever brings it home.
