About This Pipe
While smooth, contrast-stained finishes didn't come about until the middle of the 20th century, it can't be said that they don't suit the age-old classics when handled right. Case in point is this English bent Billiard by Ashton, sporting a handsome saddle-brown finish that really shows off the cross-grain and birdseye of this briar, without being the least bit brash or ostentatious about it.
