This Dunhill bamboo could be recognized from across the room. Some countries seem to compare in shapes and such; and English bamboo is a kin to Italian bamboo. I've never encountered a pencil-thin 3-5 knuckle piece on an English pipe. They all seem to be very large with two (once in a while three) knuckles with burn marks on the knuckles. While bamboo on pipes today tends to be more for a graceful look, large bamboo like this also absorbs moisture in the shank.
