About This Pipe
Not so much 're-finished' as 'de-finished', this pipe appears to have been the result of someone sanding down the wood - perhaps to remove a stain or something. They were careful enough to not sand off all of the stamping, but it is weak. Because stain is very, very shallow on a pipe, it was probably wiped down after the fact with a very light stain and/or oil. Price adjusted accordingly.
