Condition: 4.8/5 Rim darkening and a few rather significant tooth marks on the button (that don't go through). Oddly, the tenon has file marks on it, maybe it was tight at some point. Everything is original.

About This Pipe
The year is 1939. German troops occupy the remaining part of Bohemia and Moravia; Czechoslovakia ceases to exist, Francisco Franco conquers Madrid, and a Dunhill craftsman puts the finishing touches on this superb pot. The Dunhill Patent pipe has long been a grail for savvy pipe collectors around the world, as a result very few make it to the open estate market. Fewer still arrive in this nice of a condition, or exhibit such excellent grain.
