About This Pipe
Some people really enjoy Opera pipes, more for their novelty than smoking ability, though. They will smoke much like a round bowl, but can be difficult to keep an even burn because the chamber is an oval. Truly a great idea when some maker many decades ago realized they wanted to make a pipe but the block wasn't wide enough. Naming it after the ability to pop it into a front pocket at the opera was genius in marketing.
