About This Pipe

Here's a copy of the patent drawings for this particular design, drawn up in Montreal in 1933 for the Canadian patent office. This piece now lacks the weird bits upon which this patent was based, but as is almost always the case, that's not a great loss (most of these filter-like contraptions made in metal weren't terribly good at what they were supposed to do). This piece only adds to my admiration of Comoy's being one of the best old English brands that had better shaping than most. Lovely proportions and grain to match!
