About This Pipe

This is one of the nicest replacement stems on an old patent Dunhill I have yet to come across. Whoever made the replacement using a preform stem and nylon tenon, did a very good job. An exact replacement would be entirely of a handcut stem and tenon, but this is done expertly well. The bowl is in rather nice shape. What else was going on in 1934?

John Dillinger escapes from an Indiana jail with a wooden gun. Bonnie and Clyde are causing problems for police and banks. And one of my favorite movies, "The Thin Man", starring William Powell and Myrna Loy hits the silver screen.
