Though of what we'd generally consider "medium" size by modern standards, back in its day this Oriole briar would have been considered pretty large for a French pipe. It's day, of course, was about a century ago. It's fared the numerous decades since its creation well, though of course never having been smoked probably helped. It's not of a high-priced collector pedigree, and there are some flaws, but there's definitely still a certain appeal in a dark-finished, silver-banded survivor of such vintage.
