From what I've seen, Sébastien Beo's designs tend to fall mainly into three categories: the very light and elegant, the classically proportioned (which though lines and shaping may be noticeably different, the pipe's proportions and balance resemble that of a classical English shape), and then... there's the third. This paneled Rhodesian is of the latter-most style, which I can only describe as "French Peterson". The lines are elegant, the bowls smartly shaped, and yet then he throws us a curve-ball with a big, sturdy shank of both gentle taper and impressive thickness. The resulting look is quite unique, and certainly has a singular charm about it.
