About This Pipe

The Grand Cru line originated in 1978, with an independent pipe maker named Pierre Morel who did some contract work for Chacom (he eventually joined Chapuis-Comoy some nine years later). The pipes are completely hand made and, if this unsmoked pipe is a solid indicator, the tenon and mortise are immaculate matched, the drilling is superb, and the slotting is exemplary. The shape and grain you can clearly discern from the photos. I must admit to being pleasantly stunned.
