Frank Axmacher may be German, but in this design I'm seeing a lot of Danish. The softly contoured Billiard bowl, the high, supple transition, the gently rounded cross-section of the shank - they all seem right out of the Danish school. What's more, the long, low-profile shank and stem combined with a very high and trim bowl reminds me a lot of some of the old 1960s Stanwell and Kriswill shapes. And yet, that all having been said, I can't recall ever seeing an old Stanwell or Kriswill that applied that style to a Billiard like this - they tended to be rakish, spare, dynamic; this, on the other hand, is easy, gently graceful.
