It might not appear so, but the 360-degrees of fluting, and the sharply pointed heel actually make for a briar that is exceedingly comfortable in either hand. The two "notches" on the back of the bowl are, in fact, "ambidextrous thumb grooves". It is a good thing that this bent Dublin is so easy in hand because the chamber is deep (but not too
broad), and will provide a long smoke with flavors intensifying towards the bottom of the slightly-conical bowl. The silver spigot military-style mount adds a welcome bit of flash to the design.
