The year was 1998. It was a year of great technological innovations, like the world's most popular search engine Google, the first portable MP3 player, and the first Apple iMac (and, by default, the first pinwheel of death). It was the year that the Furby became every child's worst nightmare, the year teenyboppers rejoiced to the unveiling of Brittany Spear's pop classic "...Baby One More Time", and the year we were first introduced to the hilarious catchphrase (raspy voice) “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” So if you are a collector of Peterson's Pipe of the Year pieces, and just happen to be missing the 1998 edition, today is definitely your lucky day. Coming to us completely unsmoked, this jaunty Dublin is designed with Peterson's tubular aesthetic in mind, with easy, smooth flowing lines, making it exceptionally handsome in profile. Thought the mount, however, looks like its made of gold, in actuality it is sterling silver, and is stamped as such; a bit confusing, I know, but undeniably stylish, and overall fitting for such a perplexing year.
