Italian Estates: Luigi Viprati Paritally Rusticated Freehand Sitter with Silver Spigot and Cap (090/330) (J0)
Product Number: 004-006-8358
Luigi Viprati produces these Salvidor Dali-inspired pipes annually as a special, limited edition and, unsurprisingly, throughout the years they've displayed a lot of unusual design-work. This 2005 edition is the most ornate one I've yet seen, presenting a full-bent sitter shape, rather reminiscent of a scaled-down version of the old Tyrolean pipes, which was then run through some very Italian tweaking, and finally topped off with sterling silver stem-ring, moustache-patterned mount, and clock-face cap. These were, as you might expect, given special treatment by Luigi, and this example is still accompanied by its own presentation box, pipe bag, and Dali-series pamphlet.
