While the cooling/condensation chamber isn't nearly as vast as on an actual gourd Calabash, I'll certainly give Ascorti credit for going through the trouble to actually make a fully functional, proper Calabash out of briar, separable tobacco chamber/cap and all - most these days just copy the aesthetics of the shape. Besides, that long, sinuous combination of shank and stem will not doubt provide a fair amount of cooling action just by itself.
