Italian Estates: Becker Smooth Bent Dublin (4 Diamonds) (2005)

Product Number: 004-006-8937

The four diamonds stamping has long been the standard stamping to denote smooth, usually darker stain, and it represents some of the better grain Becker has to offer, featuring lush flame grain encircling the bowl and breaking into a dense cloud of rising birdseye all along its underbelly, and dappling the rim. A very gestural, almost Scoop-like bent Dublin, the front facing rim extends forward, but remains balanced due to the symmetrical orientation of the wide chamber. This form, however, is not completely smooth as it bears a slight spur on the underside of the shank transition, a reoccurring feature, Becker's ace in the hole for separating mass and adding a touch of delicacy.
