Estate Pipes: Italian Estate: Caminetto Business Sitter (181) (KS) (1980s)

Product Number: 004-006-9440

In the 1980s Caminetto was not exactly in the best state. This is right after senior carver Luigi Radice left, followed by Giuseppe Ascorti, both going on to establish themselves as successful independent pipe makers. To top it all off, the factory burned down to ashes, and the once wildly popular Caminetto name fell into the background, a marque referred largely in past tense, and in connection to fond memories. On a happier note, though, the "Pipe with the Moustache" did rise again, and just recently, resurrected by the Ascortis with a renewed dedication to the best qualities of the storied pipes that first put the Three Chimneys on the map.
