Italian Estates: Alberto Bonfiglioli Sandblasted Billiard with Silver
Product Number: 004-006-9478
It's peculiar that this Alberto Bonfiglioli lacks its usual long list of stamps, shown to be as wild and varied as the ingredients in proper home-made Italian cooking. Thankfully, now I can bypass all the technical jargon and talk about the beauty of the pipe itself. Usually I would peg Bonfiglioli as on the wilder side of the Italian school, more specifically the whimsicality of shape and line found within the Pesaro branch; but here, in this particular piece, we see the master stripping away the nonessential for concise neoclassical design - though no less "Italian" in proportioning, which is substantial.
