. The freer hand that Castello allows its carvers often results in iterations that I personally prefer over the more lock step executions. This fusion of bent billiard and egg is wrapped in a delightful vortex of windswept grain and the Castello blond stain does an amazing job of augmenting the visible grain. Subtle touches of organicism in the shank and mount, and again at the rim, add a delightful layering of complexity to the form without the slightest hint of ostentation. Recommended.
