About This Pipe
Even when Castello deliberately goes for a more sophisticated shape, there is still a masculine, "no nonsense" anima about the composition. a Collection pipe is as far up the pecking order in the Castello line as one can get, if one is speaking of their standard series, and the grain is quite lovely. As nice as the grain is, it's the execution that captures my heart. The bowl is fairly robust in size, and emphasizes a "rough around the edges" air, by rusticating the rim. The transition of the bowl off the shank is a thing of beauty, and that shank is well met by a smart inlay in the bit.
