New!  Japanese Estates: Tsuge Ikebana Smooth Bulldog (D) (2011)

Product Number: 004-007-0480

Sleek, low-slung Bulldogs are not an uncommon theme in Japanese pipemaking, yet strangely enough this is one of the very, very few Ikebana Bulldogs we've ever handled. It actually appears to be based off of one of Tsuge's popular standard-line shapes, the "607", though with some tweaking here and there - a sleeker bowl, and heel in particular, for example. And of course, being handmade from select briar, the grain is something else, the broad, chopped-top bowl's considerable upper and lower surfaces being used to show of some seriously gorgeous birdseye.
