Japanese Estates: Smio Satou Smooth Bent Brandy with Bamboo (2009)

Product Number: 004-007-0499

If you're looking for an artisanal briar with fantastic grain, Smio Satou's creations are a sure bet. Or perhaps I should say sure choice, instead, as there isn't really any sort of gamble involved, judging by everything I've seen. Time and time again, he produces smooth briars where the briar's natural potential for beauty and his skillful shaping come together with stunning result. And this broad-bowled, yet lyrical-of-line bent Brandy design is no exception.
