Japanese Estates: Smio Satou Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Bamboo
Product Number: 004-007-0502
Smio Satou has a way with bamboo, and particularly when it comes to daringly light, slender lengths of it - matched up of course to almost ridiculously delicate transitions. That is, as you can see, just what he made up here, as part of a positively elegant bent Dublin composition. Aside from the ideal rhythm displayed by the design of transition and stem, in relation to the knuckle-spacing of the bamboo, he's also complemented the thoughtful arrangement as a whole by using a very light sandblast to draw out a very fine-stranded ring grain upon the bowl.
