Misc. Estates: Big Ben Caledonia Smooth Bent Dublin (541) (9mm)

Product Number: 004-008-1801

For those of you wondering, the word "Caledonia", in its modern use, is simply a very romantic and loving way to refer to Scotland as a whole. When lighting up this pipe for the first time, I suggest listening to the Scottish folk ballad "Caledonia", by Dougie MacLean, published in 1979, just for fun, which is sure to tug at your heartstrings and bring a tear to your eye.

I can see why poets and musicians constantly use the word, it does have a certain mystical ring to it, and one would expect a pipe branded as such to be literally stained in plaid. Not so, actually, the design owes much to Danish streamlining; the beveled bowl is another hint, but all around it's a beautiful little crossbreed.
